Today we’re looking at an 18K Rolex Cellini Prince Watch. Stemming from a brand unlike any other, this watch caters to class through a timeless appeal that delivers a fashion statement as much as it dishes a daring design with fine features that would stand out against any luxury brand watch.
This Pre-owned item features a prominent champagne dial with a multi-textural and multi-functional surface by having a main dial displaying the standard time using primarily stick hour-markers alongside Roman Numerals and by using a slightly smaller sub-dial to highlight the overall seconds passing via Arabic Numerals and miniature stick indices for each second. Given a 28mm case it fits firmly as a fairly unisex piece, depending on one’s wrist, but ultimately this is a pre-owned vintage watch that comes with a lot of character, even down to the brown leather used for its band that’s adjustable up to 7.5 in., which is as rich in color as the case is luminous through its high-polished aspects.
One particular pleasure is that this prince is adorned with what I consider a “rising sun” element as each side of its rectangular case has markings similar to that of sun-rays, almost like the watch itself is meant to be a daily uplifting utility. Other fine features include a sliding double-folding clasp attached to a high-polished buckle, a very considerate pull-out crown being that it is has a small divet for one’s finger included within the backside of the case, but it also has a favorite feature of mine, and that’s an exhibition caseback giving a window into the value of precision by letting us gander at the manual-wind movement that makes this watch tick.
