Cleaning and Restoration Services

As you might imagine, servicing luxury watches requires a range of unique skills and equipment. Today, we’re looking at one that aids our cleaning and restoration process, an “Elma Solvex RM”, a multi-chamber, automatic cleaning machine for precise mechanical parts, including watch movements that uses water and solvents for it’s cleaning and rinsing purposes.

Similar to the “Vibrogaf RM 90” watch-part cleaning machine we previously reviewed, this model uses fine-mesh baskets to safely set certain watch parts within.

Once turned on, the machine begins by moving the basket into the first of four chambers where it meets a cleaning solvent and a high-speed rotation that cleans the items. Afterwards, they’re elevated out of the liquid and oscillates more to dry the parts before they’re automatically rotated and set into the next solvent (as shown in the video below).

This restorative process continues until the parts alternate through all 4 cleaning chambers as well as a drying stage, leaving all the parts clean.

Additionally, there are, customizable adjustments for specific needs, making this perfectly tailored for residue-free washing of particular watch pieces
